Chriselle Vaz

Clinical Director

  • I have worked with couples and families for several years helping them navigate conflict, communication blocks, repair trust and much more. I also have a wide range of experience working with young people navigating life transitions, identity formation, anxiety, depression, grief and various other challenges that arise throughout difficult life circumstances.

    When not working, I enjoy live music, reading, trying new recipes or restaurants in the city, watching reality TV and spending time with my friends and family.

  • I am trained in and use Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). I use an eclectic approach and draw on many modalities in a session. I strive for clients to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and build practical skills to navigate their situation.

Shannon Brown

Associate Therapist

  • I have been employed in the concurrent disorders (mental health and addiction) field for over 15 years and I have worked the entire addiction spectrum. My last two roles included being a Program Manager at a drug and alcohol agency and a Team Coordinator/Social Worker with a Family Health Team where I supported patients struggling with various mental health issues and concerns.

    When not working, I enjoy kayaking, reading, attending various community events, playing sports, spending time at the beach, and hiking. 

    I am really excited at the opportunity to work with and or your loved one.

I work in a trauma-informed manner. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally and work in a culturally sensitive manner.

Debra Musgrave

Associate Therapist

  • I have worked with families, children and teens in various roles and capacities over the past 20 years. I have assisted clients through grief and loss, crises, traumatic experiences, life transitions, and identity formation.  Mixing Afrocentric and Western Social Work knowledge, skills and practices has assisted in shaping the empathy, understanding and support I can offer clients.

    When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time at cultural events, attending concerts and sporting events, and watching fantasy and sci-fi movies and shows. I also cherish my time with friends as well as the younger and older generations of my family.

  • My therapeutic approach is based in meta theories that acknowledge the impact that social systems have on individuals based on their identity. My practice approach is eclectic and draws from therapies including; Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
